We had dinner here and it was delicious. Even though they were out of lettuce and bacon, my club sandwich was still awesome and I’d happily eat it that way again. My husband’s mushroom Swiss burger was one of the better ones he’s eaten recently. Great stop for such a remote place!
The reviews are honest, the lady is crusty and crabby and doesn't like small talk but she does makes a good pie. The place is cozy.
The little cabin exceeded our expectations was just what we needed after a long drive! We ate at the restaurant and the food was above average in our opinion. The lady doesn’t have time for niceties when she has more customers than time and no help. Might be the case that employees aren’t available or dependable, but we rolled with it.
I am perplexed by the negative reviews! We had an amazing stay to kick off our moving journey from Alaska back to the lower 48. After a long day (5 hour ferry and 6.5 hour drive) we crossed the Canadian border and Buckshot Betty's was there to greet us ! Easy check in, beautiful little cabin, conveniently located to two separate gas stations, and honestly one of the best pizzas I've ever had (veggie!) Is the kind lady who runs this place busy? Why, yes, she is. Are you expecting a fast food service? Well, godspeed on this Alcan journey, my friends. Would be back in a heartbeat and am super grateful for this experience.
Spacious, comfortable cabins with decent amenities. Rooms have a lovely cedar scent. Showers have good water pressure and water gets nice and hot. Food and drink at the restaurant are good value and well made.
Lots of negative reviews on here but our experience wasn't bad. The owner wasn't around but the cook was waiting for us to arrive. He checked us in with no issues and was courteous. The restaurant was closed but the room was really cozy. Was a bit warm the day we stayed so the cabin was hot but overall it was clean and good for our overnight stay. We did end up grabbing food across the street at Ida's who was really nice. She was about to close the kitchen but still cooked up some meals for my family and I.
Good food in a good location. The owner is not looking to make any friends (unfriendly) but we eventually got food and a bill. The gift shop had no prices, so of our group no one bought souvenirs.
This is a great 1st night stop when driving south from Alaska. Great little cabins with car plugins. We've stayed here twice, once when it was 25 below zero and once when it was 0 degrees F. Both times cabin was hot, water was hot and staff was friendly. We'll be back!
